Our FREE LIVE Streaming Video Coverage Of The Spring Fling Million In Las Vegas Continues Today! 5-Days Of FREE RACING!!!

That’s right folks, we’re SUPER excited to be bringing you 5 days of awesome bracket racing from The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at the 2021 K&N Spring Fling Million presented by Optima Batteries. While the big show starts on Wednesday, we’ll be live on Tuesday afternoon for the American Race Cars, Todd’s Extreme Custom Paint, Dragster Shootout Race. The winner will take home a rolling American Race Cars 240″ Dragster chassis with a complete custom paint job by Todd’s. This is a big shootout for 32 cars and will be the perfect way to start off the weekend here in Vegas.

We will be live Tuesday afternoon, and then all day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for all the racing action. Check out the flyer below for details on the payout and event prizes, but know that Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday racers will be going after $30,000 to win. Friday is the big money Million race which has a guaranteed purse of $250,000 to the winner regardless of entries. We’re pretty sure this race is going to be off the hook based on our last west coast race this year. Given the fact that all the heavy hitters are heading cross country for it as well, this promises to be one hell of an event.

And you can follow along by watching all our live streaming video, or you can go out to the track and watch in person! Click the link below to watch all the live racing action all week.

Starting out at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway park this evening, the racing will go on tonight and then continue Monday at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka Kansas, then travel to Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Oklahoma Tuesday, and then up to S.R.C.A Dragstrip in Great Bend Kansas on Wednesday, before returning to Tulsa Thursday to wrap up 5 days or drag racing and street driving. Childhood Dream Race: A Bunch Of YouTubers Brought Their Toys Out To Play!

Childhood Dream Race: A Bunch Of YouTubers Brought Their Toys Out To Play!

I first drove a golf cart that wasn’t on a little asphalt track when I was seven. My younger brother had a friend that had a typical kart…you know, balloon tires and a Briggs and Stratton engine on it…and we would take turns ripping up and down the dirt driveway we lived at the end of. It wasn’t fast enough to do powerslides with and the brakes wouldn’t lock up for a slide, but it was still a riot and a half. Cut to two years later, and it was motorcycles. First, a 50cc Honda, then the Honda Trail 70, then the Yamaha YZ-80 that was, for a thirteen year old, nothing short of violent. I loved that thing. I know I never pushed that machine to it’s limit…jump wise. On fire roads outside of Gorst, I ran that thing as far as I thought the rev range would go and realized that I was a speed addict for sure.

I always wanted to put together a psychotic little go-kart. Watching channels like Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s hasn’t helped with that idea any…if anything, the desire has gotten worse. But now, seeing this collaboration between the channels “rather B welding”, Red Beard’s Garage, Cars and Cameras and Junkyard Digs, if you don’t want to turn a street bike into a psych ward go kart, what do you need? The YZ85-powered machine is a screamer and it’s just one of several off-road beasts that showed up to party!

Cheap Jeep Challenge: Flogging Two Junkyard Cherokees For The Fun Of It!

Cheap Jeep Challenge: Flogging Two Junkyard Cherokees For The Fun Of It!

One of the saddest sights you can lay eyes on as a gearhead is the last-chance lot next to a junkyard. You know what I’m talking about: they’ve been driven to death, but are still clinging to life. Maybe they were turned in simply because they were old and the careless owners thought that their usefulness ran up. Maybe someone who was ignorant of proper maintenance couldn’t live with the clunking of a shot ball joint anymore. The prices are fire-sale, and if nobody buys them, well, then it’s off to the giant pancake-making machine in the back that’s currently turning an old school bus into a bright yellow crêpe. Every time, you look over the offerings, and every time you usually talk yourself out of it. But how bad could one of these stragglers be?

Busted Knuckle Video and BleepinJeep recently threw down a gauntlet of challenges that involved two escapees from the lemon lot: a later-model XJ Cherokee and a pretty decent ZJ Grand Cherokee. Honestly, we need to stop by this lemon lot, because both of these rigs seemed decent enough starting points for a budget build. The challenges are simple enough, and we’re skipping past the show category and the trash talk category because…well, let’s just get to the action of seeing what these two status symbols turned used car lot hangouts can actually do.

If At First You Don’t Succeed Hammer Down Again: Ride Along In This Rock Bouncer And Claw Your Way To The Top!

If At First You Don’t Succeed Hammer Down Again: Ride Along In This Rock Bouncer And Claw Your Way To The Top!

Alex Sanders is the driver here and we’re all riding shotgun in his rig known as Ribcage. If you cannot figured out why it carries that name you’ve got some bigger problems in your life. Rather than an LS engine or a big block, this thing uses a tough as nails small block Chevy for power and as you will see, the only thing tougher than the bouncer itself is Sanders the pilot.

All racing and automotive competition requires tenacity. Whether it is the guts to drive a stock car or Indy car hard into a corner at full throttle or its the willingness to stand on the gas in an 11,000hp funny car, these things are all hard to do and to do well. In the case of rock bouncing like we are going to see here, its the idea that the hill is not going to beat you, no matter how hard it tries. Sanders is a veteran of this type of competition and as you will see, he adjusts his approach, his aggressiveness, and his steering inputs each time he nearly makes it up what seems to be about a vertical face before he succeeds.

The payoff here is not just making it up the hill it is seeing the whole course. Coming down is about as freaking as going up! Rock Bouncing continues to be immensely popular and after watching this, we know why. The machines themselves are bad ass, the stuff they are doing seems impossible, and guys like Sanders put on one hell of a show.

Stealing The Show In Orlando: Watch The Quickest Side By Side Pro275 Pass Ever And Mark Micke’s Record Shattering 3.82 Run!

Stealing The Show In Orlando: Watch The Quickest Side By Side Pro275 Pass Ever And Mark Micke’s Record Shattering 3.82 Run!

There are certain times in drag racing where you can actually pinpoint the moment where a class or category put itself onto the map for good. That moment for the Pro275 class happened last weekend at Orlando Speed World Drag Strip in Florida during Donald Long’s Covid-8 race. The best Pro275 cars in the country were on hand and they were taking advantage of a well prepped course to set records and put on one heck of a show.

These cars are mostly machines from the Radial vs The World class that have elected to run on the smaller 275 width tire and at more weight than they’d be competitive at in RvW. The horsepower, technology, and ability of the cars and the teams is exactly the same as is found in the “bigger” tire class and since so many high profile teams have “made the switch” to the 275 class, its specter in the sport has grown. Now this being said, some of those well known teams struggled to get the hang of the smaller tire and while we knew it wouldn’t take them too long a time, it was a hot second before we saw a weekend like we just witnessed.

Mark Micke wresting the record from the hands of Ron Green was pretty awesome. The former RvW record holder ran 3.82 to better the 3.83 second mark that Green had set during the US Street Nationals in Bradenton, Florida earlier this year. You’ll also see the quickest side by side in the category’s history as well here.

Pro275 is no joke. It never was and it never has been. Now though? Now things have changed. It’s not growing up anymore. That class has officially arrived!

Historical Drag Racing Video: Mario Andretti Drag Racing For The Only Time In His Life At Connecticut Dragway!

Historical Drag Racing Video: Mario Andretti Drag Racing For The Only Time In His Life At Connecticut Dragway!

This right here is some stuff! The first part of the video seems to date from the first half of the 1960s but the last half comes from 1968 and there’s one really specific way that we know that. This is rare footage of Mario Andretti drag racing for the only time in his life at Connecticut Dragway in 1968.

You will see him landing on the strip in a little Cessna, hanging out with the trophy queen and ultimately see him making laps in a Mustang on behalf of Tasca Ford! Andretti ran a match race against track owner Frank Maratta who is driving a Camaro prepared by Norwood Chevrolet. To double down on the awesome, the car that Andretti is likely a Tasca KR8, the car that the production Cobra Jet Mustangs were based off of! Surely they would not have stuck Mario in some 390 powered Mustang, right? He got the good stuff we’re sure.

There’s plenty of other fun stuff to be seen here in the form of wheel standers and loads of awesome cars but the real story if Mario. Recently on television he talked about this particular day and his memories all these years later are 100% spot on, the video proves it! You will see him fly in around the 13:00 minute mark and his runs against Maratta are shown around the 15:00 mark.

Drag racing history in living color!
